Mr. Bittiger attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania where he was a cum laude graduate and three-year varsity football letterman. Upon graduation from Muhlenberg, Mr. Bittiger taught high school history and coached football for seven years before enrolling at Seton Hall University School of Law as an evening student.  While at Seton Hall Law, Mr. Bittiger was actively involved in the Student Bar Association and served as a senator, parliamentarian and vice-president of that organization. Mr. Bittiger continues to be involved with Seton Hall Law as a charter member of the school’s Small Firm Commission.

Mr. Bittiger is admitted to practice law in the States of New Jersey and New York. Mr. Bittiger has represented clients in a wide variety of litigated matters ranging from construction disputes to consumer fraud and products liability, and has tried a number of cases to verdict. Mr. Bittiger has achieved significant victories on behalf of his clients in state and federal courts, as well as through alternative dispute processes such as arbitration and mediation. Mr. Bittiger has argued before the Appellate Division and Supreme Court of New Jersey, most notably serving as plaintiffs’ lead counsel in the landmark case of D’Agostino v. Maldonado – a case in which the attorneys at Bittiger Elias & Triolo successfully represented plaintiffs in applying the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act to a mortgage foreclosure rescue scam.

Mr. Bittiger manages the firm’s family law practice, and has extensive experience representing clients in all areas of family law including the negotiation and drafting of premarital agreements and property settlement agreements, divorce, contested child custody and support proceedings and all post-judgment matters. Mr. Bittiger has served as a volunteer attorney for the Bergen County Domestic Violence Legal Advocacy Project, where he represents victims of domestic violence, and presently serves as a panelist on the Bergen County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panel.
