Mr. Elias attended Michigan State University. He graduated in 2006, cum laude, receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting. Upon graduation from Michigan State, Mr. Elias attended Seton Hall University School of Law. Mr. Elias graduated from Seton Hall in 2009, magna cum laude, and was honored for his class standing as being accepted into the honorary society, The Order of the Coif.

Mr. Elias has extensive experience in the areas of banking & creditors’ rights, bankruptcy & debt resolution, civil litigation, commercial law, professional practice transitions, property tax appeals, real estate and estate planning. He has represented a wide variety of clients dealing with issues of all complexity. Mr. Elias is licensed in both New Jersey and New York and regularly practices in both the State and Federal Courts.

At Bittiger Elias & Triolo, Mr. Elias manages the firm’s property tax appeal practice. He represents municipalities and taxpayers before County Boards of Taxation as well as the State Tax Court. Mr. Elias also practices heavily in the areas of banking & creditors’ rights and bankruptcy & debt resolution. He serves as foreclosure counsel and has served as review counsel for a local community bank. Mr. Elias also regularly negotiates with debtors and creditors in the debt resolution process, often negotiating favorable settlements but using the State and Federal court systems when necessary.

Mr. Elias’ practice is also heavily focused in transaction work. He has negotiated and closed innumerable real estate and business transactions. He regularly represents clients in the purchase or sale of property, purchase and sale of businesses, including professional practices, closing of real estate and other loans, and negotiation and drafting of various business contracts. Mr. Elias also assists clients in forming business entities, structuring their companies and negotiating and drafting partnership, operating and shareholder agreements.

In addition, litigation is one of the largest aspects of Mr. Elias’ practice. He represents numerous clients in all areas of litigation, including both plaintiff and defense work, State and Federal courts in both New Jersey and New York. He is an aggressive litigator and is always focused on achieving the best possible outcome for his clients, either through settlement or trial.

The clients of the firm are Mr. Elias’ top priority. He builds long term relationships with his clients and keeps their needs and wants the primary focus.
